Recovery Awareness Campaign Kickoff at Revelation Generation

Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program (HDAP) will again kick off its “Recovery Awareness Campaign” on Auguest 30th, 2008 by taking part in one of Hunterdon County’s largest one-day addiction recovery awareness events in the Revelation Generation Christian Rock Event. By becoming a sponsor of Revelation Generation, Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program is responsible in helping provide one of the largest one-day drug/alcohol awareness messages in Hunterdon County history. Approximately 15,000 - 17,000 people attended the 2007 event, and many went through the the Vendor's Marketplace. This marketplace was jam packed from the beginning until the event was called at approximately 4:30 p.m. Over 1,000 people visited our booth, and over 600 “Shed Light on Addiction” flashlights were given out. HDAP was one of three addiction recovery vendors at Revelation Generation, all of whom provided people with information for prevention and referral of substance abuse issues. HDAP Celebrates its 30th Year Anniversary!

Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program has been successfully treating clients and family members who suffer from chemical dependency problems since 1977. HDAP started with a concerned group of citizens and county officials who felt the area needed a substance abuse treatment facility. In 1977, we became a subsidiary of NARCO (which is now called Institute for Human Development, IHD). In 1981, we separated from NARCO and became incorporated as Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program. We were first located in Lambertville, but moved to Flemington in 1984, where we reside currently. In recognition of our 30th Anniversary, we have updated our brouchure and have a PDF version that you can download by clicking here. The file is 1.7MB in size and gives a complete overview of our services. If you want to save this onto your computer, right click the link, then left click "save target as".
