2004 Hunterdon Drug Awareness 9th Annual Golf Classic
The Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program's 2004 9th Annual Golf Classic took place at Heron Glen Golf
Course. You couldn't have asked for better golfing weather than we had, and there were a
total of 77 golfers. Great golfing was had by all, and we had some very competative
golfing going on during that day.
First, Second, Third and Most Honest Foursomes will be described below, but there were
other events and we would like to take the time now to discuss those winners. For the category
of Longest Drive: Men - Ephram Miller took the prize. For Longest Drive: Women -
Gail Eineker took home that award. Closest to the Pin went to Steve Szmak, and finally
Nick Susalis won the Pot of Gold.
Even though there were some problems with a food tent that had no airconditioning, and
sporadic food shortages, overall the event was a success. Next year's Golf Classic is
being held at the Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club, and be assured they have an air
conditioned indoor restaurant, with running water. :)
The Board of Directors and Staff at Hunterdon Drug Awareness would like to take this time
to thank all of our golfers and all of our corporate and personal sponsors of this event. It is
with your support that we can continue the high quality drug and alcohol counseling and
prevention programs to those Hunterdon County residents who could not otherwise afford to
receive these services.
