2005 Hunterdon Drug Awareness 10th Annual Golf Classic
The Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program's 2005 10th Annual Golf Classic took place at the Copper Hill Country Club Golf
Course, on May 23rd, 2005. In a week filled with rain, we got the best golfing weather we could with the rain holding off and the mild temperature. There were a
total of 79 golfers. We had some very competative golfing going on during the day, the luncheon food was excellent, and there were
some great prizes given out this year.
First, Second, Third and Most Honest Foursomes will be described below, but there were
other events and we would like to take the time now to discuss those winners. For the category
of Longest Drive: Men - Steve Nash took the prize. For Longest Drive: Women -
Freddie McCormick took home that award. Closest to the Pin went to Matt Tremaine, and finally
Steve Nash also won the Pot of Gold (Steve was very busy this year as he was also 1/4 of the 3rd place golfing team).
This years luncheon and raffle awards went great, with many people winning some very good raffle prizes such as a $500+ 2 night
stay and dinner for two at the National Hotel in Frenchtown, 5 different golf bags, and much more. The 50/50 this year was done by
a fantasy golf scratch off game, with our Board President, Mike Griffin winning the 50/50. Mike was very generous when he donated byack
his 50/50 prize of $180 to Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program, thank you Mike!!
The Board of Directors and Staff at Hunterdon Drug Awareness would like to take this time
to thank all of our golfers and all of our corporate and personal sponsors of this event. It is
with your support that we can continue the high quality drug and alcohol counseling and
prevention programs to those Hunterdon County residents who could not otherwise afford to
receive these services.

Most Honest Foursome
The most honest foursome (scroing an 81) consisted of a foursome from Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical Company, a corporate sponsor for the event.
The team consisted of HDAP board member Elycia Lerman, Tracy Flathman, Jason Van Buren, and Richard Wolf. I don't know about you,
but I am very happy to know that the most honest people came from a company responsible for so many of today's medications and
products. Makes me feel much better about using a Johnson and Johnson product. :)
