2007 Hunterdon Drug Awareness 12th Annual Golf Classic
The Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program's 12th Annual Golf Classic "Drive to be Drug Free" took place at the Copper Hill Country Club Golf
Course, on May 21st, 2007. We were fortunate to have a great golfing weather day. There were a
total of 72 golfers, increasing our numbers from last year by 22%. We had some very competative golfing going on during the day, the luncheon
food was excellent, and again there were some great prizes given out this year.
First, Second, Third and Most Honest Foursomes will be described below, but there were
other events and we would like to take the time now to discuss those winners. For the category
of Longest Drive: Men - Steve Kemp took the prize. For Longest Drive: Women -
Fredetta McCormick took home that award for the 3rd year in a row!. Closest to the Pin went to Pete Mania, and finally
and for the first year nobody won the Pot of Gold!
This years luncheon and raffle awards went great, with many people winning some very good raffle prizes such as golf foursomes, restaurant gift certificates, catering gift certificates,
5 different golf bags, 2 wills, and much more. The 50/50 this year was done by a fantasy golf scratch off game, with a winner at every table.
The Board of Directors and Staff at Hunterdon Drug Awareness would like to take this time
to thank our golfers, all of our corporate and personal sponsors of this event, and our community members who made donations.
It is with your support that we can continue the high quality drug and alcohol counseling and
prevention programs to those Hunterdon County residents who could not otherwise afford to
receive these services.
