Monica Frank, LCSW, LCADC

Clinician - Full Time
2012 - 2017
Monica is a licensed clinical social worker with many years of post-graduate experience in the behavioral health field. She received her bacehlorís degree from Lock Haven University of PA, and masterís degree from Rutgerís University. She belongs to the National Association of Social workers and is in good standing. Monica left HDAP in December 2017, after providing her notice to us in June, 2017. :) She will be steering a collegiate recovery program (OP and IOP) as Clinical Director in Southern NJ, and we wish her the best of luck!
Monica is competent to provide individual, family, and group counseling, and utilizes a strength-based and motivational interviewing approach to help others identify and pursue their goals. My special interests include substance use disorders, eating disorders, young adult issues, health and wellness, mindfulness and other holistic practices, and alternative therapies (art, music, movement). With the assistance of our clinical supervisor, we have created a wellness curriculum to include in our relapse prevention groups as part of our IOP program.
Monica is HDAP's resident health and fitness buff (soccer, Crossfit, weightlifting, running, yoga). Currently Monica is enrolled in a circus school for Lyra, an aerial apparatus that helps her reconnect with her love of swinging and climbing! Itís important for her to address all areas of wellness and bring this approach into her work. She also enjoys cooking, being outdoors, sunshine, playing the keyboard and singing (even though she states she is not the best), and reading fantasy novels.
